Hi! So I bought a 1992 EG with a B16A2 OBD0 and I wanted to upgrade the ECU to OBD1 and maybe chip it. I was just wondering what ECU I would have to buy and how I would go about chipping / tuning it. Im just looking for reliability more than power. Thanks!

your eg should already be obd1. obd0 Hondas are 88-91, that being said look at the side of the ecu you have and see what it is, b16 ecus are generally p30, if you have a p28 it may already be chipped, if it is a p28 pull the cover off (5 phillips screws) then just search the ecu chipping section for pictures and compare yours to it. hope this helps.

any obd1 rechippable ecu is fine. a p30 ecu would have a slight advantage cause of its knock board (if you know how to use it) other that that its how you tune your engine that can help alot in the overall reliability not the ecu itself. i assume your wiring harness is obd0, you would need a jumper harness to have it compatible with a obd1 ecu. also articles are everywhere on the net on "how to rechip obd1 ecu" to help you out with the soldering and all
